Full job description
A trainee underwriter position in Zurich's SME Underwriting Centre in Leeds, working with broker partners who serve small and medium-sized businesses. Trainees analyse and quote new and renewal business, speak with brokers by phone and live chat, and negotiate terms, after a structured training programme in the first 8 to 12 weeks. Insurance knowledge is preferable but not essential, with communication skills, relationship building and customer focus being the main requirements.
