Full job description
A one-year industrial placement in Zurich's General Insurance actuarial team, starting in June 2027, with the office being London, Farnborough, Birmingham or Whiteley. Placement students choose between two pathways, reserving (forecasting future claims cost) and pricing (setting insurance prices using risk and customer data), alongside qualified actuaries and internal actuarial training, with a buddy assigned before joining. It is aimed at penultimate-year students on course for a 2:1 or better in a STEM or Economics degree, with an A in A-level Maths, 128 UCAS points and GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C. Salary is 24,968.58 pounds, with a 12% pension and private medical cover. Successful placements can lead to a graduate offer. Applications close on 18 October 2026.
