Full job description

A 12-month technical industrial placement in Unilever's UK Supply Chain function starting in June 2027, based in the Port Sunlight (Wirral) or Leeds factories on a five-day factory shift pattern. Examples include process engineering to cut defects and waste and stabilise production lines, and projects on operational efficiency, sustainability and digital tools. Technical roles are open to students on STEM degrees only, and applicants must be able to relocate to any UK site. Students must have completed their penultimate undergraduate year before starting and return to university afterwards. Applications opened on 14 September 2026 with a rolling deadline (the company advises applying early), and the process runs from an online application and simulation through online reasoning tests, a video interview and a virtual pre-screening to an in-person discovery centre. The careers page lists a salary of 27,898 pounds, 28 days' holiday pro rata, an end-of-placement bonus and a buddy, and the advert does not mention visa sponsorship or right to work.
