Full job description

A one-week winter vacation scheme in the London office from 7 to 11 December 2026 with real work rather than shadowing, backed by presentations, workshops and social events with current trainees. Applications opened on 1 September 2026 and close on 25 September 2026, and they are assessed on a rolling basis. Eligible applicants are penultimate- or final-year law undergraduates, final-year non-law undergraduates and graduates, with at least AAA at A-level and an expected 2:1, and mitigating circumstances are considered. Applications go through a short online form, a situational judgement test, a four-question video interview and then a one-to-one interview in London. Sidley states that it offers visa sponsorship for successful vacation scheme applicants. The firm recruits its trainees (around 19 a year) from these schemes rather than through direct applications.
