Full job description

A bursary for talented law undergraduates from less advantaged backgrounds who will begin a UK law degree in 2027. Recipients get 3,500 pounds in three instalments over the first year, with the same again in later years if they achieve a 2.1 and take part in the programme, plus a trainee mentor and a week of paid-for work experience in London in their first year. Applicants must attend a UK state school or sixth form college, come from a household with income of no more than 30,000 pounds, be first generation to attend university, be predicted AAA, hold an offer to read law from 2027, and show they are a full-time carer or eligible for free school meals (or at a school where 20 percent of pupils are). The application window is 5 April to 21 May 2027 and selection uses a written application, academic records, a reference and an interview. No visa statement is given.
