Full job description

A two-week spring vacation scheme in London from 5 to 16 April 2027 with hands-on work, presentations, workshops and social events with trainees. The application window for the 2027 spring and summer schemes opens on 28 September 2026 and closes on 8 January 2027, with applications assessed on a rolling basis. Eligible applicants are penultimate- or final-year law undergraduates, final-year non-law undergraduates and graduates, with at least AAA at A-level and an expected 2:1, and mitigating circumstances are considered. Applications go through a short online form, a situational judgement test, a four-question video interview and then a one-to-one interview in London. Sidley states that it offers visa sponsorship for successful vacation scheme applicants. The firm recruits its trainees (around 19 a year) from these schemes rather than through direct applications.
