Full job description
This is Saffery's School Leaver Programme trainee role in Tax at its London office, starting in January 2027 and lasting three years while working towards either the ACA/CTA or the ATT/CTA tax route. Trainees help businesses or individuals with tax returns, computations and compliance work and carry out technical research, supported by mentoring and off-site trainee programmes, including a six-week business simulation designed with Kaplan. The London tax intake is split across two teams, Corporate Tax and Employment Tax, and applicants should say which they prefer in the application questions. The entry bar is 120 UCAS points from your top three A-levels or Highers (or equivalent) and a 6 (or B) in GCSE or National 5 Maths and English Language; AAT-qualified applicants are welcome. Applications for this intake are open from 14 September to 4 October 2026, and the firm warns that roles can close early because of demand.
