Full job description
This is Saffery's School Leaver Programme trainee role in Personal Tax at its Edinburgh office, starting in September 2027 and lasting three years and three months while working towards the ATT and CTA tax pathway. Trainees help individuals manage their tax affairs by preparing tax returns, computations and reports and researching technical points, supported by mentoring and off-site trainee programmes, including a six-week business simulation designed with Kaplan. The entry bar is 120 UCAS points from your top three A-levels or Highers (or equivalent) and a 6 (or B) in GCSE or National 5 Maths and English Language; AAT-qualified applicants are welcome. Applications for this intake are open from 14 September to 4 October 2026, and the firm warns that roles can close early because of demand.
