Full job description
This is Saffery's School Leaver Programme trainee role in Payroll at its Peterborough office, starting in September 2027 and lasting 18 months while working towards the CIPP payroll qualification. Trainees process client payrolls end to end, deal with HMRC and client salary queries, complete pension returns and calculate statutory payments, supported by mentoring and off-site trainee programmes. The entry bar is 112 UCAS points from your top three A-levels or Highers and a 5 (or C) in GCSE or National 5 Maths and English Language. Applications for this intake are open from 14 September to 4 October 2026, and the firm warns that roles can close early because of demand.
