Full job description
This is Saffery's School Leaver Programme trainee role in Accounts at its Edinburgh office, starting in September 2027 and lasting four years while working towards the ACCA qualification. Trainees help prepare financial statements and management accounts, work with client data in accounting systems and resolve day-to-day accounting queries as confidence grows, supported by mentoring and off-site trainee programmes, including a six-week business simulation designed with Kaplan. The entry bar is 120 UCAS points from your top three A-levels or Highers (or equivalent) and a 6 (or B) in GCSE or National 5 Maths and English Language; AAT-qualified applicants are welcome. Applications for this intake are open from 14 September to 4 October 2026, and the firm warns that roles can close early because of demand.
