Full job description
RWE Supply & Trading runs a 12-week summer internship in London for female students in their penultimate year, starting on Monday 14 June 2027, to help widen participation in commodity trading. Interns are embedded in a front-office trading or analyst team across power, gas, carbon and other markets, using data and quantitative analysis to spot patterns, exploring how models and algorithms support trading, and joining training sessions with other teams, plus mentoring and a buddy. Applicants should study a highly numerical or analytical degree such as maths, statistics, engineering, physics, computer or data science or quantitative economics, ideally heading for a 2:1 or above, and should have some programming experience, with Python especially relevant; no trading experience is needed. Pay starts at 31,500 pounds a year, applications close on 5 October 2026, and the posting includes no visa or sponsorship statement.
