Full job description

RWE Generation places a student in its Gas Engineering and Outage group, which supports control and instrumentation work during outages and projects at its combined-cycle gas plants in the UK, Netherlands and Germany. The advert lists Staythorpe, Pembroke, Little Barford and Didcot as possible bases. The student provides engineering support so the fleet runs safely and flexibly, analyses data to diagnose problems, helps with asset integrity processes and improvement projects, and assists with work packages during large outages. Applicants should be pursuing a BEng or MEng in engineering or science with a placement year in the course and be willing to travel around the UK and possibly Europe with overnight stays, expenses covered. The placement is a full-time, fixed-term 13 months starting on 28 June 2027, and applicants should send a CV and cover letter by 30 October 2026, although the advert may close earlier if enough applications arrive.
