RWE Generation offers a placement in its Operations and Maintenance group focused on Pembroke Power Station, one of its large combined-cycle gas plants. The student monitors the water and steam cycle and investigates issues, learns the environmental permits and carries out the monitoring needed for compliant generation, runs personal improvement projects and may work shifts with the operations team. The advert prefers students of chemical or environmental engineering whose degree includes an industrial placement year and who are interested in the energy sector. The placement is a full-time, fixed-term 13 months starting on 28 June 2027, and applicants should send a CV and cover letter by 30 October 2026, although the advert may close earlier if enough applications arrive. Shortlisted candidates attend a face-to-face assessment centre in Swindon on 24 November 2026 with travel and accommodation paid by RWE.
