Full job description
Pinsent Masons offers a direct two-year traineeship starting in September 2028 in its Glasgow office (Aberdeen candidates apply via the vacation placement instead); applications opened on 15 September 2026 and close at 12pm on 6 January 2027. Applicants need four Scottish Highers at AAAB (or 126 UCAS points, without resits), a predicted or achieved 2:1, and to be in the penultimate year of a Scots law LLB or beyond, or in the first or second year of an accelerated LLB after a non-law degree. Trainee pay is 35,500 pounds in year one and 38,500 pounds in year two, rising to 69,000 pounds on qualification. The process is a registration and application form, an online blended assessment and an assessment centre. The firm states it cannot offer sponsorship for this programme in its Scottish offices.
