Full job description
Munich Re's London office is taking on actuarial graduate trainees for 2027, placed either in the UK Life Branch (its Life 1 division) or in the general insurance business at Great Lakes. Trainees help price reinsurance using claims data, quote on reinsurance tenders and execute won deals, produce projections and liability valuations for profit and capital reporting, write reports and present analysis to senior stakeholders, with hybrid working. Candidates need a predicted or achieved 2:1 in a numerate subject such as STEM, finance, economics or statistics, and at least an A grade in a numerical A-level or equivalent. The process starts with an online application and assessment, then online interviews in October, an assessment centre in November, final interviews in November to December and offers in December. The employer pays professional body fees, study material, exam fees and study leave, and applications close on 30 September 2026; no visa or right-to-work statement appears.
