Full job description
Mills & Reeve recruits all of its trainees through its two-week summer vacation scheme, held from 14 to 25 June 2027 at one of its offices in Birmingham, Cambridge, Leeds, London, Manchester or Norwich, with an allowance towards accommodation and travel. Around 30 training contracts starting in 2029 are offered from this scheme. Applicants can be penultimate- or final-year law students, final-year non-law students or graduates of any discipline. Applications opened on 1 September 2026 and close on 7 December 2026, followed by an online assessment with a short video interview and in-person assessment centres in January and February 2027. Trainees do six four-month seats over two years, and the firm sponsors the PGDL and SQE with a maintenance grant. First-year salary is 33,800 pounds regionally and 46,800 pounds in London.
