Full job description
The Macfarlanes training programme is a two-year London contract starting in September 2029, made up of four six-month seats, with first-year pay of 60,000 pounds, second-year pay of 65,000 pounds and 150,000 pounds on qualification. The firm pays for the SQE preparation at BPP including its own modules and gives a 20,000 pound grant, or a 17,000 pound grant plus fees for the law conversion course for non-law graduates. Applications are currently closed and the page says they will reopen in 2027 without giving dates, and candidates can enter either through a vacation scheme or by applying directly. Law students can apply from their penultimate year and non-law students from their final year. The firm says visa sponsorship for the training programme is considered case by case.
