Jones Day's spring vacation scheme in London runs from 5 to 16 April 2027 and mirrors the firm's non-rotational training contract, with real work, mentoring and social events. Applications opened on 1 September 2026 and close on 27 November 2026, with assessment centres on 26 January and 9 February 2027. There is no direct training contract route; all trainees are recruited from scheme attendees, and a scheme application counts as an application for a training contract starting September 2029. Candidates choose a first and second choice of scheme and applications are screened, interviewed and offered on a rolling basis, so early applications are advised. Final-year students, graduates, postgraduates and career changers from any discipline can apply, as can penultimate-year students on qualifying law degrees, and a strong 2:1 is needed with no minimum school grades.
