GT London typically recruits twelve trainees per year. Our comprehensive two-year training programme comprises four six-month seats across our Corporate, Real Estate, Litigation, Banking & Finance, Employment, Funds, Tax and Regulatory practices and offers trainees the opportunity to undertake a client secondment from the second year. Applications for our 2029 training contract are now open. Applications will close on Monday 30th November 2026 at 23:59. Recruitment Process and Timelines: Apply: September-November 2026; In-Person Shareholder Interviews: weeks commencing 1st and 8th February 2027; In-Person Assessment Day: week commencing 15th March, 22nd and 23rd March 2027; Offer: Early April 2027. Eligibility: minimum ABB at A-Level; on track for 2:1 degree or international equivalent; mitigating circumstances considered. Visa/sponsorship: I am not eligible to work in the UK and would require sponsorship. Can I apply? As a firm, we do hold a sponsorship licence and accept applications from candidates requiring work permits. FAQ confirms: no rolling recruitment; PGDL/SQE fully funded with £17,000 maintenance grant.
