Minimum qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a PhD degree in Computer Science or related technical field. - Experience in Data Structures and Algorithms. - Experience coding in one or more general purpose programming languages (e.g. Java, C, C++, Python, JavaScript, Go). Preferred qualifications: - Currently attending a degree program in the EMEA region, returning to the program after completion of the internship. - Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for a minimum of 13 weeks in Summer 2027 (starting May, June, or July). - Experience with research areas such as machine learning, natural language processing, distributed systems, or similar. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers, contribute to the design and development of large-scale systems, and apply your research background to practical engineering challenges. Depending on your track, you may work on developing next-generation technologies, improving the reliability and performance of Google's production systems, or contributing to research in areas such as machine learning, natural language processing, and distributed systems.
