The Sales Development Program is for sales associates joining either the Global Business Sales or Global Technology Sales team, providing sales support in engaging C-level individuals at some of the world's most successful companies as potential new clients. Participants apply strategic thinking and relationship building to help executives address their most pressing business challenges, understand their critical initiatives, align Gartner research and expertise, and support Gartner's growth through new client business development. Upon joining, associates are aligned to one of two pathways, Account Management (AMX) or Business Development (BDX), paired with one or more Sales Executives; after successfully completing the programme's training curriculum within 15 months, associates have the opportunity to be promoted into a quota-bearing role on a Sales team. Responsibilities include partnering with Sales Executives to create customized strategic plans for sales territories supporting monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets; completing the sales development training curriculum within 15 months; generating leads by prospecting potential clients, identifying new sales opportunities with existing clients, and qualifying inbound leads; researching prospective and existing companies, C-level executives, business trends and competitive intelligence to prepare tailored outreach; proactively scheduling calls with prospective and existing clients via phone, email, LinkedIn and cold calling; educating prospects and clients on the value of Gartner's products and services; shadowing or owning calls with an aligned Sales Executive; and supporting follow-up actions to enable pipeline progression and drive client engagement. Requirements: a Bachelor's degree is preferred (all majors welcome); relevant work or internship experience in sales or customer service; the ability to establish credibility with senior-level executives; advanced computer and internet search skills; strong communication, writing, problem-solving and time management skills; the ability to plan and prioritise daily tasks; the ability to work well under pressure; and a collaborative approach to overcoming challenges.
