Fladgate recruits its trainees through a one-week, office-based paid vacation scheme in June or July 2027, held at its Covent Garden office, with practical exercises, assessments and social events; the placement pays 450 pounds for the week. Applications open on 29 October 2026 via AllHires and AmberJack and close in January 2027 (its brochure gives no exact day). Successful applicants are invited to a March 2027 assessment centre, then a partner interview in April, with training contract offers in July 2027 for a September 2029 start. Trainees complete four six-month seats and are paid 50,000 pounds in the first year and 52,000 in the second, with SQE and PGDL fees covered through the University of Law and a maintenance grant of up to 7,000 pounds a year in London or 6,000 elsewhere.
