Full job description
ExxonMobil is recruiting for an 8-week summer placement at its Fawley petrochemical complex in Hampshire starting July 2027. Students work in pairs or small teams on real operational problems, for instance designing, coordinating and analysing a plant trial or scoping a small capital project. It is aimed at students expecting to graduate in 2028 with at least a 2:1 in chemical or mechanical engineering, with other engineering disciplines considered if you explain why in a cover letter. Selection is a behavioural assessment followed by a technical competency interview. Applications close on 1 November 2026. Offers are conditional on the legal right to work on the start date; no visa sponsorship statement is given.
