Full job description
This is a 13-month industrial placement at ExxonMobil's Fawley petrochemical complex in Hampshire, beginning in July 2027. Placement students may inspect equipment on site, draft repair plans, troubleshoot plant problems, give operational technical support and design equipment upgrades for safety and efficiency. Candidates need to be heading for at least a 2:1 in chemical or mechanical engineering, with other engineering disciplines considered alongside a cover letter, and should show leadership and the ability to influence through collaboration. After applying there is a behavioural assessment and a technical competency interview. Applications close on 25 October 2026.
