Full job description
Unlocked is a free virtual programme for Year 12 (first year of A-levels) students at state schools who have academic promise and an interest in law but may feel a legal career is out of reach. Over three days it lets participants meet apprentices, trainees, partners, clients and barristers, work on goal-setting, hear about different routes into a firm and receive one-to-one coaching. Applicants should attend a non-fee-paying school and meet at least one social-mobility criterion, such as free school meals eligibility, being first in the family to go to university, care experience, caring responsibilities or refugee status. Applications for the 2027 programme open on 14 December 2026, and the virtual sessions will run over the Easter 2027 half term. No visa or right-to-work statement is given.
