Full job description
A 16-month maths graduate programme starting in early September 2027 at 37,500 pounds a year, based in Gloucester with rotation across locations. Graduates apply mathematical techniques to nuclear challenges such as fuel performance modelling, severe accident analysis, safety cases and finite element analysis of reactor cores, and may work with EDF R&D on Hinkley Point C modelling. A bachelor's or postgraduate degree in maths, physics, chemistry, radiological protection, hazards or a related subject is needed. Appointment requires meeting security vetting criteria, which usually means living in the UK for at least three of the past five years. The online assessment centre is on 10 November 2026. Applications are due to close on 1 October (2026), though EDF says it may close earlier because of volumes.
