Full job description
A 16-month civil engineering graduate programme starting in early September 2027 at 37,500 pounds a year, based at Gloucester or Glasgow, with support towards professional registration through the Institution of Civil Engineers. Graduates work on design support, site inspections, calculation tools and engineering modifications across operating nuclear power stations and new build projects. A bachelor's or postgraduate degree in civil or structural engineering or a related discipline is needed, plus interest in nuclear energy. Appointment requires meeting security vetting criteria, which usually means living in the UK for at least three of the past five years. The virtual assessment centre is on 10 November 2026. Applications are due to close on 1 October (2026), though EDF says it may close earlier because of volumes.
