Full job description
CMS's Insight Programme is a one-week paid placement (475 pounds per week) at its Bristol, London, Manchester or Sheffield office, combining practical work, skills sessions, trainee shadowing, networking, a buddy and a mentor. Completing it may fast-track a student to a training contract assessment day. It is aimed at first-year LLB law students and penultimate-year non-law students. Selection involves an online form, a critical thinking test, a 15-minute recorded video interview and a 30-minute virtual interview. The 2026 programme ran 15 to 19 June 2026, and the page says applications are closed and will reopen in 2027 without giving dates. No visa or right-to-work statement appears on the page.
