Full job description
A 3-month Placement Analyst internship on Citi's Investment Banking team in Frankfurt, with any possible start date in 2027. The team advises German corporate and financial-sponsor clients on private and public M&A and capital-markets transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, and underwriting and distributing equity, debt and derivative securities. As a Placement Analyst you'd be fully integrated into project teams - conducting research and analysing industry trends, preparing client presentations, building financial models, and running company valuations, alongside using AI-powered tools to support that work. Citi looks for fluent English, a degree in progress in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a similar field, strong grades, and prior internship or working-student experience in banking, consulting, audit or transaction advisory. Top-performing Placement Analysts may be hired onto Citi's Investment Banking Full-Time Analyst programme the following year.
