Full job description
The firm's AllHires portal lists a Training Contract 2029 with a closing date of 3 January 2027. Bristows hires up to ten trainees a year for a two-year programme in London, mixing three- and six-month seats (typically five or six) with a guaranteed seat in IP litigation and the chance of a three-month client secondment. Future trainees have their PGDL (if needed) and SQE 1 and 2 funded, with maintenance grants of 10,000 pounds for the PGDL and 11,000 pounds for the SQE, and the firm quotes trainee salaries of 48,000 and 52,000 pounds as at September 2025. Selection is a personally reviewed application form, a video interview, two partner interviews and a written exercise, with no psychometric testing. The firm's own descriptive pages still talk about the 2028 cohort, so eligibility for 2029 is not restated; no visa or right-to-work statement was found.
