Full job description
Bird & Bird will run a two-week spring vacation scheme in its London office from 12 to 23 April 2027, giving attendees real legal work, skills sessions and time with people across the firm. Attendees are assessed for a training contract starting in September 2029 or sooner, and there is no direct application for that cohort. Around 40 places are shared between the spring and summer schemes. Applications open on 5 October 2026 and close on 11 December 2026, screened on a rolling basis so early applications are encouraged. Applicants need AAB at A-level and a 2:1 (or equivalent), and must be in the penultimate or final year of a law degree, in the final year of a non-law degree, or have completed a law degree, a non-law degree, the PGDL or SQE stages. Selection is an online form, an assessment, a recorded video interview and a virtual assessment centre. The FAQ says applicants need the right to work in the UK and to check their visa conditions, with reasonable help on visas offered only after a training contract is secured.
