Bird & Bird is recruiting for its September 2027 solicitor apprenticeship in London, a six-year Level 7 programme where apprentices work four days a week and study one day a week at the University of Law for an LLB and then the SQE. Tuition and course materials are paid by the firm, and salary is 28,000 pounds in year one and 30,000 in year two. Apprentices rotate through four of the firm's departments over the first four years. Applications open on 2 November 2026 and close on 29 January 2027, reviewed on a rolling basis. Applicants should be in Year 13 or have left school or college, be at least 18 by the start date, hold five GCSEs including English and Maths, and have or expect AAB at A-level or equivalent. The stated requirement is the right to work in the UK, with no sponsorship statement for this route. Selection covers an online form, an assessment, a video interview, a virtual stage and an in-person assessment day.
