Bevan Brittan takes on 14 trainee solicitors a year, starting in September, across its Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds and London offices. Trainees complete four six-month seats spread over departments such as Health & Care, Commercial & Infrastructure, Litigation Advisory & Regulatory, Employment Pensions & Immigration, and Property, each with a supervisor and buddy. The firm sponsors the SQE and its preferred preparation courses with the University of Law, funds the PGDL and offers a 5,000 pound maintenance bursary to eligible candidates still studying. It is open to penultimate and final-year law students, final-year non-law students, graduates and career changers, and selection has an online application then a video interview before an assessment centre or vacation scheme. The page states that applications reopen in early 2027 and does not name the intake year. Its FAQ says the firm holds a sponsor licence for skilled worker visas for successful candidates, subject to Home Office criteria.
