Full job description
This is a six-year Level 7 solicitor apprenticeship based at the Bates Wells City of London office, with apprentices in the office four days a week and studying online one day. It is only for people without a degree, including school leavers of 18, and graduates or those completing a degree are directed to the training contract instead. The firm pays the University of Law fees and assessment costs for an LLM in Legal Practice, and pay starts at 28,000 pounds in year one, rising to 46,000 pounds in year six. Applications open on 1 October 2026 and close on 4 December 2026, with an open evening on 26 November 2026, assessments from February 2027, interviews and offers in March 2027 and a September 2027 start. The assessment includes an application form and an in-person centre with an interview and a written exercise, and no visa or right-to-work statement was found.
