The team: The Leasing Enterprise Credit EMEA team assesses a counterparty's credit risk, managing the end-to-end credit process from due diligence through structuring, underwriting, approval and closing. Summer Analysts may be aligned to Global Vendor Finance (GVF), which evaluates and underwrites new end-user credit opportunities, or International Asset Finance (IAF Credit), which underwrites and structures facilities for the International Asset Finance business, with exposure to shipping, rail and other land transport, supporting deals from $5MM to over $100MM. Programme Overview Our ten-week Summer Analyst programme offers a comprehensive experience of life as a full-time credit analyst, aligned to either GVF or IAF Credit within Leasing Credit, and also gaining broader exposure to Global Leasing and the Equipment Management group. Responsibilities: - Performing extensive qualitative and quantitative credit analysis to assess a counterparty's credit risk - Compiling detailed credit memos and risk rating scorecards for new and existing clients - Presenting recommendations to senior colleagues in both written and verbal format - Supporting the evaluation of transaction structures and assessment of risks and mitigating factors - Working on in-flight projects and initiatives to support the Enterprise Credit mandate Eligibility Candidates are required to be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a completion time frame between September 2027 and July 2028. Must be available to join the programme from June to August 2027. On track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent). What we are looking for Essential: - Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail - Effective written and verbal communication; fluency in English is essential - An inquisitive nature and a keen interest in the financial markets - Ability to interact effectively in a team environment as well as work independently with minimal guidance - Strong interpersonal skills - Results oriented, can accomplish objectives in a specified timeframe - A moderate level of proficiency in Excel and other programmes within the Microsoft Office suite Desired: - Proficiency in a language other than English (although not a requirement)
