The team: Global Technology teams design, develop and support applications needed to maintain the Bank's full range of products and services in over 30+ countries, liaising with technical and business colleagues to deliver high quality, scalable and performant systems. Programme Overview Our Summer Analyst programme offers a broad and exciting experience of work as a full time Technology Analyst, with the opportunity to participate in real delivery of technology solutions. Responsibilities: - Providing technical expertise to design, develop, and maintain technology applications using Java, C++, .NET, Python, Web Services, and AI-assisted development tools - Evaluating, adopting, and promoting responsible use of AI technologies across the software development lifecycle - Gathering and translating client requirements into technical design specifications - Coding solutions, completing unit tests, and ensuring successful integration - Participating in delivery/release (CI/CD) events Eligibility Candidates are required to be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a completion time frame between September 2027 and July 2028. On track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent). To be eligible to apply for this role in Chester, you must have the right to work in the UK as visa sponsorship is not available (we are able to sponsor visas in Bromley for this role). Must be available to join the programme from June 2027 to August 2027. What we are looking for Essential: - Show demonstrable evidence of self-learning outside of studies - Display clear motivation for exploring a technology career within financial services - Demonstrate capacity for innovative thinking and strong problem solving - Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills - Display evidence of strong teamwork, leadership, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Fluency in written and spoken English is a pre-requisite - Demonstrate integrity and ethics Desired: - Knowledge of React, Angular, .NET, Python or Java - Knowledge of object oriented or relational database management systems such as Oracle or MS SQL Server - Knowledge/experience of CI/CD software delivery processes - Knowledge of the software development cycle
