The Team: The Global Market Credit (GMC) team assesses credit risk across counterparty portfolios and structured trades, principally originated within the Global Markets franchise, managing the end-to-end credit process from due diligence through underwriting, approval, closing and monitoring. Programme Overview Our ten-week Summer Analyst programme offers a comprehensive experience of life as a full-time credit analyst. During your internship you will be aligned to one of the portfolios in Global Markets Credit, completing actual deliverables and adding tangible value to the department. Responsibilities: - Performing extensive qualitative and quantitative credit analysis to assess a counterparty's credit risk - Compiling detailed credit memos and risk rating scorecards for new and existing clients - Presenting recommendations to senior colleagues in both written and verbal format - Working on in-flight projects and initiatives to support the Enterprise Credit mandate Eligibility Candidates are required to be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a completion time frame between September 2027 and July 2028. Must be available to join the programme from June to August 2027. On track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent). What we are looking for Essential: - Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail - Effective written and verbal communication; fluency in English is essential - An inquisitive nature and a keen interest in the financial markets/products Desired: - Proficiency in a language other than English (although not a requirement) - A moderate level of proficiency in Excel and other programs within the Microsoft Office suite
