The team: the Investment Banking division is organised across industry, country, and product coverage teams. Industry teams include Consumer and Retail; Natural Resources and Energy Transition; Financial Institutions; Financial Sponsors; Healthcare; Global Industries Group; Real Estate, Gaming and Leisure; and Technology, Media and Telecoms. Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) is the key investment banking product team. Country coverage teams cover all regions in EMEA and are partially or fully based in regional offices, working together to provide solutions on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets advice. Programme Overview: the Summer Analyst programme offers a broad experience of working as a full-time Investment Banking Analyst; during the summer you will have the opportunity to work with industry, country, and product coverage teams. Training and Development: extensive formal training at the start of the programme, plus on-the-job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout. Responsibilities may include: working on projects alongside bankers in specific industry, product and country coverage groups; helping the team deliver solutions to clients by leveraging the full spectrum of the bank's capabilities; contributing to client presentations and underlying financial analysis; building relationships, knowledge and experience for future career opportunities; actively participating in executing transactions, including work with clients and representatives of other investment banks and advisors. Eligibility: pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a completion time frame between June 2027 and July 2028 (evidence of this completion date may be requested before an offer is extended); must be available to join the programme from June 2027 to August 2027; on track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification or equivalent. Candidates who perform well may be offered full-time employment starting July 2028, with some lines of business also offering January or April start dates; candidates must be available for one of these start dates if offered, as deferrals are not available. What we are looking for, essential: fluency in English for all roles; drive, innovation, and a genuine interest in financial markets; teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills, plus creativity; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; analytical and problem-solving skills; influencing decisions through effective communication and interpersonal skills; integrity and ethics. Desired: a second European language; for some regions (e.g. CEE), knowledge of those regions. Recruitment process: analyst internship and full-time recruiting takes place on a rolling basis once applications are open, with assessments often beginning before the deadline, so early submission is recommended.
