The team: Global Corporate Banking focuses on relationship management of global, large cap corporate and financial institution clients, managing day-to-day relationships and originating new business, with specific responsibility for delivering financing, treasury and risk management advice and execution globally. Programme Overview: the Summer Analyst programme offers a broad experience of working as a full-time Corporate Banking analyst; during the summer you will be pooled across the three London Corporate Banking teams (UK and Ireland Corporate Coverage, Financial Institutions Coverage, and Global Subsidiary Coverage), working across a diverse range of industries and products. Training and Development: extensive formal training at the start of the programme, plus on-the-job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout. Responsibilities may include: assisting Global Corporate Banking professionals in relationship management, origination, and execution across product areas including loan and bond financing, FX and interest rate derivatives, and cash management; gaining an in-depth understanding of clients, their industries, and how the bank supports their growth and day-to-day banking requirements; providing market-informed judgments on financing strategies; helping prepare detailed financial models and analytical presentations across the capital structure; becoming proficient at credit analysis and pricing/structuring metrics for debt instruments; gaining familiarity with legal and documentation aspects of debt instruments; working on live transactions and interacting with clients; generating ideas and cross-selling opportunities; assisting in client-specific analysis such as capital structure and acquisition finance; working closely with Investment Banking, Capital Markets and Global Transaction Services on client coverage and origination. Eligibility: pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a completion time frame between June 2027 and July 2028 (evidence of this completion date may be requested before an offer is extended); on track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification or equivalent; applications accepted from a diverse range of degree disciplines; fluency in English essential, proficiency in a European language highly desirable. Candidates who perform well may be offered full-time employment starting July 2028, with some lines of business also offering January or April start dates; candidates must be available for one of these start dates if offered, as deferrals are not available.
