The team: The Chief People Organisation operates as a strategic partner to each area of the bank, including Talent Acquisition, Talent, Learning, Opportunity and Inclusion, Compensation and Benefits, Shared Services, Employee Relations, Corporate Communications, Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Security. Programme Overview During the 10-week summer internship programme you will have the opportunity to rotate through some of these functions and work on interesting and varied projects. Responsibilities: - Collaborating on projects across Chief People Organisation that contribute to key people strategies and initiatives - Supporting initiatives across Benefits, Opportunity and Inclusion, Talent, Learning and Corporate Communications - Collaborating with recruitment professionals on strategic hiring initiatives and employer branding activities - Participating in projects focused on operational excellence, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement Eligibility Candidates are required to be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a completion time frame between September 2027 and July 2028. On track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent). To be eligible to apply for this role in Chester, you must have the right to work in the UK as visa sponsorship is not available. Must be available to join the programme from June 2027 to August 2027. What we are looking for Essential: - Show demonstrable evidence of self-learning outside of studies, and efforts to advance technical skills - Display clear motivation for exploring an HR career within financial services - Demonstrate capacity for innovative thinking and strong problem solving - Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to interact with a variety of people - Display evidence of strong teamwork, leadership, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Fluency in written and spoken English is a pre-requisite - Demonstrate integrity and ethics by earning other's trust and respect through consistent honesty and professionalism in all interactions Desired: - Good MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - A passion for processes and continuous improvements to meet stakeholder needs
