Full job description
This placement is advertised for Cambridge and Macclesfield; in Cambridge the student works with medicinal or peptide chemists on multi-step routes to new compounds, while Macclesfield roles work with process development teams, and the student learns synthesis, purification, reaction monitoring and automation and presents work to other chemists. Applicants must currently be undergraduate students on a chemistry degree, with the chance to spend a year in industry starting September 2027. It is a 12-month fixed-term contract in Macclesfield or Cambridge, paying a £28,000 base salary plus bonus and flexible benefits, with a start date of 6 September 2027.
