This Summer Associate program in Tokyo runs 14 June to 6 August 2027 (8 weeks), offering commercial frontline responsibility and immediate personal impact on live client projects. As a Summer Associate in the Client Service team, you will be the link between clients and the expert knowledge they seek, working on multiple projects from investors, strategists and dealmakers, in a communications-intense role that includes recruiting experts by phone, understanding the project, market, legal and regulatory context, and taking ownership of client-expert communications and scheduling. Requirements: penultimate-year student (Class of 2028); a strong academic track record (equivalent to a GPA of 3.4 or higher); extracurricular achievement throughout school and university; internship experience evidencing an interest in business is a plus; outstanding communication skills; native-level fluency in Japanese and business-level proficiency in English required; work authorization in Japan, as AlphaSights does not sponsor visas for this role; and full availability for the entire programme duration. Internship compensation is 500,000 JPY for the 8-week program, with the option to work from home on Fridays and the opportunity to receive a full-time offer to return post-graduation.
